Anyway, back to the subject of learning the guitar. Yes, you can learn the guitar so easily that you can do it almost in your sleep. I’ll show you how I did it. You’re going to love this method.

The first thing that I decided, and I’m sure that this is true for you too, is that I didn’t want learning the guitar to be a drag. I didn’t want to go through boring books learning scales and chords and all that nonsense. I just wanted to pick up the guitar and play. Well, I figured in order to do that, I needed some incentive. I found the perfect incentive…for me anyway.

I realized that the thing I loved most was the thought of being able to play all my favorite songs from the radio. I had lots of favorite groups growing up such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones and many others. The thought of cranking out hits like “Ticket To Ride” and “Satisfaction” made me salivate. So, I figured why don’t I start out by actually looking for chord charts for some of my favorite songs? Guess what? They are ALL over the place. Just go to Ultimate Guitar Chords and you’ll find just about any song in existence.

Anyway, I started to pick out some easy songs to start with because I didn’t want to get discouraged. That was the key. I picked out songs with no more than three chords. These were easy to master and gave me a sense of accomplishment AND confidence. This was very important. As I started to learn more and more songs and found myself getting better, I then went to learn harder songs.

Gradually, what I discovered, was that by learning all these songs, I had taught myself to play the guitar. I could now pick it up and play anything at all as long as I had the music or knew the song well enough by heart. There aren’t very many difficult guitar chords. Once you master them, that’s it. And trust me, it doesn’t take long.
