Protools Essential Fast Track USB Recording Question…?

There are 16 tracks or different devices you can combine to record on one demo, so to speak. I can record myself playing the rhythm guitar in one of the tracks, but after I am done with that track, I want to record myself in another Track doing lead guitar. I am guessing it has something with selecting the same device in 2 different tracks, then enabling one track to record rhythm, then going back to the beginning of the other device and enabling it and turning off the rhythm track. I am not sure. Please Help!!! How can this be done or is there a tutorial I can find somewhere for this?

I think what you are looking to do is open two different audio tracks right? So you would create one audio track, with your input as your guitar and your output as 1-2 and record rhythm on that. Next you would un-record enable the first track and record enable the second track with the same I/O as the first. Is this what you are looking to do? Feel free to update your question with any other specifics.

Hope this was informative,
KDecka.
