What You Can Do When Your Kids are Bored?
If you live with children, you have probably heard the phrases “I’m bored” or “What Can I Do, I’m Bored?” many times. It is not always easy to find an activity to keep them occupied. Here are some simple tips:
Cleaning and chores: Ask them to clean their room. Tell them they can do some extra chores. Sometimes this will get them off your back. And other times (if you are lucky), they will help you.
Look for some activity in your town. There are online websites and magazines which list the events in the community. Fun does not necessarily have to be expensive. Look through newspapers/magazines and plan in advance.
If you can actually find an activity, which you can participate in as well then it will be lot more fun – example ice skating, picnic
Something creative can keep them busy for hours.

Finger Painting is a fun and creative activity that you can do with your children. Children love painting with their fingers. The messy part of painting with their fingers is what makes it all the more enjoyable. This activity can keep them occupied for hours and that definitely is good news for all mums.
Finger painting can be very educative too. Take out certain colors and have your child mix them to get different results. For example, give them red paint and brown paint. Then ask them what color they think both would make if they mixed them together. Allow them to mix the colors and test it out themselves.
If you don’t want any mess inside your house then have them paint outside. Your garage or the backyard deck can be ideal spots. Also make sure they wear aprons – you don’t want their beautiful clothes to get all messy.
Once they are done with their paintings, hang up the paintings on your clothes line with pegs. Allow them to dry. Once they are dry you can display them on your refrigerator or in some other place to show your child you are proud of their work.
And here is the best part about finger painting – you can actually make it at home. It is very easy and inexpensive to make. You will usually have all the ingredients in your kitchen.
Here is a simple recipe:
Ingredients
2 cups white flour
2 cups cold water
food coloring
Pour water into a large bowl. Slowly add the flour while stirring. Once it is mixed together, put in small bowls and add food color.
