Good electric guitar and amp? 10 points!?

hello their is this a good guitar and amp and cable to go with to get a good sounding instrument? AND WILL THE CABLE MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SOUND QUALITY?

OK…let’s take this one at a time.

The guitar…the color is strictly up to you. Me, I’ll keep playing black guitars until they come out with something darker. But, I got this tip from someone who worked at Gibson, and that is that guitars with the best grade of wood get a sunburst finish (or another finish that lets you see the woodgrain). If there are cosmetic problems with the wood, then they paint them a solid color.

The Line 6 amp…that again is a personal choice. I own a Line 6 AX2 and Vetta II HD, and I like them for live gigs with cover bands. I don’t use them in the studio that often. I haven’t been real impressed with the low power Spiders that Line 6 has been putting out, but if it’s got the feature set you want at the price you want to pay, then go for it.

To answer your question about the cable, if a cable is very poorly made then it will have a negative impact on your sound. Personally, I don’t buy all the hype around Monster cables. Granted, they are very well made and have a lifetime warranty. The other guitarist in my band uses them, and they sound good. But, he’s had 2 fail on him during a show. I’ve been using Planet Waves cables for several years now and never had one fail on me. Just my .02 worth.
