what kind of guitar do you think would be perfect for me?

i play mostly metal, like Metallica, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, etc.

but what i write and record is more Alternative Rock

right now i have an RG series Ibanez
ive been playing for over a year now
and after i invest in some higher quality recording equipment
id like a really nice guitar

and i was wondering… well look at the question

That will get the sound you want and will be a GOOD guitar, as opposed to the Ibanez, Schecter, Jackson, Dean, BC Rich heavy metal specials (aka chinese and indonesian junk made out of basswood and agathis) that the kids are buying nowadays. Plus, it will further suit you as you mature beyond playing heavy metal. You won’t be needing anything more than that until you’re ready to step up to a Gibson ES 335 or Les Paul Deluxe
