How crazy guitar playing can be achieved with a clear cut plan

As a mostly self taught guitar player, I should be able to lay claim that I learned everything on my own, and though that would be a cool thing to be able to say, its simply not true. Whether it was going to the library and taking a book out or purchasing and instructional DVD, one thing has always been true – I need someone elses wisdom to teach me.

One of the quickest ways for anyone to develop crazy guitar playing is by having the perfect instruction to the point where it felt like it was completely designed for the student. No matter what your goals are for your playing, its very simple to find an affordable instructional course that meets you half way. As long as you are willing to pick up some of the slack and do the work, there’s no doubt that you can have crazy guitar playing skills.

Depending on your level of playing, you might have to find just the perfect guitar course, but there are some common denominators to look for. Always  make sure that the course covers the chords that you need for the type of music or level of playing that you are interested in. Make sure that the course covers enough of the theory that is needed, but that it also does so in a simple and clear cut manner.

Learning appropriate licks that have some originality is also very important. Some of these courses may just be in ebook format, such as a pdf file, but ideally a student should try to find one that contains audio files, software, and videos as well. Some courses may even offer one-on-one instruction for being a member, but even with all these features you should never expect to pay too much.

The most important thing to look for in a guitar instruction product is how its laid out. Does it seem clear and direct? professional and yet fun? Do the teacher or teachers speak well, or do they rush? Remember to ask the tough questions before making that purchase, or else its simply pointless.

If you get the right course, its quite possible to learn and master guitar, but alone that won’t do it. It also requires drive, positivity, and focus in order to learn and master guitar.

Love that song, danse, Romeo and Juliet but more for the great sound and lyrics than for any parallels to my life. I love that song because once upon a time I used to perform it…wait, please don’t be impressed. It is the story, not the performance that matters. Before I went to medical school I had a different life. I was a graduate in Tucson, AZ, working on a Master’s degree in ecology and …
