Why does my whammy pedal do this?

okay, so i just bought a digitech whammy pedal with midi control and all that…blah blah blah. when i put it on 2 octaves up and try to do a chord, the chord that i play doesnt blend together like they would with an acoustic guitar. is this normal? or should i get new cables or something? or am i just a rookie to whammy pedals?

yes. You need to adjust your guitar one below to play 2 high.
