What is a good way to practice sweep picking or playing fast solos?

i have been playing guitar 4 almost 2 years and i play guitar atleast an hour on average every nite!!! I dont go 2 get lessons or anything like that, I teach myself and so far i have taught myself really well and i play better than most people that have been playing 4 years… I can kinda sweep pick already but i cant do it as fast as i want to… should i just keep practicing or is there something i can do 2 get better quicker?

Don’t speed up unless you can play it properly, and clean, slow first.

Remember that a good foundation is important. Sloppy technique, especially for sweeping, is very bad. When you play at that speed most mistakes get amplified pretty big.

Keep practicing, Try with a metronome.

I’ve only been playing for about a year and I’ve almost got sweeping down. I’ve been practicing it for like 30 minutes every day for atleast 2 months. (I play atleast 1 hour 30 to 2 hours everyday)

Did you get finger and hand rolling down? Are you sure your using the proper technique?
