Why did Los Lonely Boys change there concert so much?
I am a huge LLB fan. Ive seen them live 4 times now and every show, besides the last one, was AMAZING. I seen them last night and was let down. They sounded great and all, and Henry is a God. But I hated the song selection. They took out nearly everything that makes there live shows great. No “Crazy Dream” with the choreographed stomping. No “Onda” with the great guitar solo and Jo Jo spinning. No “Senorita”, which is one of the best songs. And WORST OF ALL… no “End of a New Beginning”. No guitar tricks, playing behind the back or one handed. No flash, NO FUN!!!
Whats up with that???????
I saw them on a hot Mississippi night last month, and the weather was so oppressively humid they were lucky to make it through their set without needing IVs. Same for Nakota guitar great Mato Nanji.
It just wasn’t a great night for music outdoors. I was backstage where they exited, and all of the performers that night staggered off, drenched in sweat begging for water and air conditioning.
