How do you turn a solid state guitar amplifier into a half stack?
I have Crate a VTX212 and want to turn it into a half stack. I have built my own cab which works great and sounds good, but i want to make it a head and have no clue where to wire the speaker wire that ran directly to the speakers in the combo amp.HELP!!!!!
Okay, so I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking… but you’ve got the vtx212 and want to add an extension cab, right? Maybe you want to add another 2 speakers, something like that?
Well, it already has a speaker out jack… I think it’s called an “extension speaker” or something like that. It’s located somewhere in the back. This wires up an external speaker box in *series* with the speakers that are currently wired – those speakers will stay on, and excess wattage can then power something external.
One wiring suggestion is below. I googled “how wire guitar cab”.
