guitar spanish scales
please help with writing a spanish solo guitar part.?
can someone give me a scale or something to help me write a spanish solo guitar part. I dont know much theory yet. im writing the song in the key of A. the chords im using ar Bminor, F#minor, and C#minor. and i want to put a spanish solo in it, but i cant get anything to sound spanish…… please help!
The F# minor scale (the natural minor scale) should work.
F# G# A B C# D E F#
If you want to vary it, try using the F# harmonic minor scale over the F# minor and B minor chords sometimes, but not over the C# minor chord, because it would clash. The harmonic minor is the same as the natural minor, except it uses an E# (sounds like an F) instead of an E natural.
