How can i improve my guitar skills?

To start, i have a strong musical background, i have been playing piano for a long time. I also play a bit of drums and of course guitar.
I learned the Pentatonic scale and mastered it in all positions, and i know how to incorporate it in soloing.I also know the major and Minor scales bit only in one position but i can teach myself the others.
I have also been practicing arpeggios a little bit, but thats only because i heard they will help me, but i don’t know how.
So the things i want to learn are:
How to use major and minor scales in soloing
What exercises can i do to get better and how they will help me
And just other ways of improving.

in advance, thanks

Practicing with a metronome is really helpful. Start out playing the scales up and down slow and then build up speed.
