Is there a way to use/make/build a guitar effects pedal out of an old Nintendo (NES)?

I have an old nintendo and i was wondering if there is a sound card, or chip, or something in it, that i could use to create a guitar pedal or something to make old 8 bit sound effects. I dont know much about circuitry, schematics or anything electrically really, but i just really want to know if it possible.

No, it would take much more work than building one from scratch. Ditch the old Nintendo.
