Confused guitar beginner. Learnt some chords, have metronome, started trying some simple songs strum to the?

words! I’m doing something wrong obviously, but cannot seem to get it right?
Any advice on right way to go? Cannot afford lessons at the moment, so you are all I’ve got!

Guitar is a very complex instrument, all you really need to do is to understand that it takes time, lots of time and dedication. Almost every guitarist doesn’t get it right away and you just gotta stick with it
