guitar goldmine

David Bowie and Iggy Pop?
In the movie Velvet Goldmine, is Ewan’s character based upon Iggy Pop or Mick Ronson (Ronno)? I thought it was Ronno because of the guitar fellatio thing, but others think it’s Iggy?
Even if you’ve not seen the movie, could you tell me what the relationship was between Iggy and David?
ive not seen the movie but i know that david and iggy are very good friends and bowie has produced a number of iggy’s albums.
