Have you heard of Roderigo Y Gabriela and their song Diablo Rojo?

OMG…they are AMAZING!! Expecially Gabriella…she plays the you-know-what out of that guitar!!

They are excellent! I love Flamenco guitar. Manitas de Plata (Silver Fingers) was one of my favorite groups of that genre. Not only do they play the strings on their guitars, they also use the guitars as percussion instruments, as do Rodrigo and Gabriela.

The Gipsy Kings are probably the best known group for Flamenco music. I have four of their albums. If I need an energy boost, they are the best.

Classical guitar is awesome. The great Spanish composers for classical guitar like Villa Lobos and Rodrigo take it to another level. Recuerdos de la Alhambra (Rodrigo) is one of my favorite pieces. Sounds impossible to play, like a whole orchestra is doing it instead of just one guitar.
