how do i make my rockband 2 equipment comaptible for guitar hero for the wii?

i was under the assumption through internet research that my equipment would work for this….but just got the game and it is not working.

The only Guitar Hero Games that work with Rock Band controllers on Wii are Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero. Sorry if you bought any other game than that. (Also, Mii freestyle cannot be used with Rock Band Controllers)
