will you need a guitar pedal if your guitar-amp has built-in effects?

I’ve been planning to buy an electric guitar, and i was getting all my equipment gathered up, and i was wondering before i buy a pedal, if i would need it if i bought an amp with built-in effects? help would be appreciated

I have a Vox AD30VT. It has tons of effects. I think you could get a pedal if you wanted to, but I have a footswitch for easy switching between preset channels. I have a distortion-reverb channel, and a Pink Floyd-ish channel. It’s a freakin sweet amp, you should check it out if you’re looking for built in effects.
