What’s the difference between a dreadnought and a classical guitar?
I want to get an acoustic guitar, but I’m confused with which sort I should get, so I researched different types of acoustics and I’ve come down to either having a dreadnought or a classical, but I don’t know the difference. If anyone could tell me from experience which one was easy to play, then that would also be really helpful.
A dreadnought is a steel strung instrument whereas a classical guitar is nylon strung. You need to decide what sort of music you are going to play. If it’s pop/rock, go for the dreadnought.
