With an advanced course you should learn scales and fret board patterns in various positions specific lead techniques like pull-off slides,bends, vibrato and lead runs as well as how to play various pentatonic and minor scales. No matter how much you think you already know there is always room for growth.

As you can see there is a wide array of different options to choose from when it comes to finding an online guitar course. Regardless of whether you are a beginner or rather advanced, there are lessons and courses for everyone.

There are now interactive video lessons online where you can control the pace of learning and the actual tempo of what you are learning. There are free guitar lessons that will give you basic information or high-end guitar lessons that will cost you but will also provide you with everything needed.

Of course there are some tremendous DVD?s and books that can act as efficient guitar lessons for beginners as well. DVD?s are good because you can pop it in and watch it on a bigger screen than your computer. This allows you to follow along with the instructor at any time you are available. As for books they are portable cost efficient and come in all degrees of skill level.
