guitar bending technique
How do I get this tone on guitar?
Ok, well I’ve been a fan of A7x’s for LONG time and whilst youtubing some of the guitar work, I’ve noticed that synyster gates, Avenged Sevenfold’s lead guitarist, will hold a sustained note and through his pickup, it sounds like i slides up loads of octaves.
like if you bent a note up near your amp on the edge of feed back and you’d get the right note but at a really high pitch!
I just wondered if there was a pedal that would do this? or some kinda technique perhaps?
i’m a fairly advanced guitarist and musician so i understand a fair few techniques but i can’t get my head around this! 
if you need examples i’ll gladly find one!

it’s at 32ish seconds in.
it’s at the same pitch as a pinched harmonic but it doesn’t sound like he picks the string again as the transition is fluid.
That is simply feedback causing the note to produce a harmonic of itself. to achieve this effect you need to play at a very loud volume and be in close proximity to the amp. Using a wah pedal can facilitate getting that extra treble boost to put the note “over the edge” This is almost what it sounds like he is doing. (hard to tell from video)
