Is the Gibson explorer a good guitar??
I play hard rock metal and I thought the style of this guitar was killer which is why I am asking this question. Though someone mentioned to me that they did not like it that much, the sound was not good and the weight was awkward and uneven. Is this true?
If you dont think the Gibson explorer is a good guitar then can you name another good quality guitar that has a choppy/chunky look? (no Les Pauls please!)
I’ve never played one myself, but my favorite guitarist of all time (Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambria) plays Explorers almost exclusively. It’s one of the best guitars I have ever heard, and it looks sweet, so if you can afford one (and if you can I’m jealous), go for it.
