Fender Strat or Tele or Gibson-Epiphone Custom?
I’m a beginner playing the guitar. I want to get a decent electric guitar for all around purpose. I have about $500 max. I want to get a Gibson Studio but i don’t have enough money. So my three final guitars are Fender Strat or Tele or Gibson Epiphone Custom. Which one is better for all around purpose??? And Is Gibson Epiphone custom better than Gibson Studio?
If this is to be your first guitar, you may want to buy a starter pack, namely the Ashton starter pack. The packs come with everthing you need such as a lead, amp, strap, picks and of course the guitar. While the ashton pack may be a little more expensive than other starters (RRP about $300) it is far superior in terms of quality; the frets are a reasonable standard and the volume and tone knobs don’t crackle when turned or fall off unlike many competitors.
Otherwise, if this guitar is an upgrade, I would advise the Epiphone custom. I may be a little biased as I have a Gibson myself, but the quality I’ve found in Gibson guitars is unmatched. And sadly the Studio far outstrips the Epiphone.
Alternatively, you may wish to keep your old guitar, presuming you have one, and instead upgrade to a better amp. I would recommend the Vox AD30VT, or the Vox AD15VT as they both give a wide variety of sounds and effects to experiment with.
