garageband guitar cables
question for macbook experts??? 10 points for best answer if i actually think you tried…?
i am looking into buying a mac book specifically for garageband and itunes. i just like messing around with electric guitar and bass and i have a few questions…
1.Can i successfully operate garageband with no internet access? i know you can get interenet, i just don’t want it
2.Which macbook is the cheapest and the best for this job
3.can i connect my guitar/bass to the macbook using a istudio link cable?

Before I give you my answer, I feel I should let you know that I am not a macbook expert. I just know a few things about macbook because I have been researching them with the intent of getting one. So, on to my answers.
1. Yes, you can use Garage Band without internet access. That application is used for making music, and you don’t need anything but the actual application, so you do not need internet access.
2. The lowest grade macbook should be sufficient for what you intend to use it. The lowest end macbook is the white one. It has these specs:
2.0 GHz Processor
Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB DDR2 Memory
120GB hard drive
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
There are other macbooks with other, better specs if you want to get one of those, but if you just want something to just do the job, this macbook is good.
3. I just looked it up about the cable, and yes you can. As a matter of fact, it was made by apple with the intention of people using it with Garage Band.
