What are those strings that are good for both classical and folk guitar?

Can i put them on my acoustic?

You’re probably thinking of “Silk and Steel” and they’re not good for either. They’re a poor compromise. You can put them on your acoustic but because they exert much less tension on the guitar, you will eventually have problems with the set-up that will need addressed. Plus you may need to re-file the nut and bridge to make them work. Most pros hate them and stay away. On a classical – the opposite. Too much tension, more than the instrument was designed for.
