electric guitar nickelback

ok my guitar string is making this horrible scratchy sound.?
yea i like the sound its cool but its not happening to my other strings so i just want ot get rid of it. when i play any fret from my electric guitar from 1~22 its fine but when its open my 4-d string makes this scratchy sound with the original sound. i want the scratch to go away! its not the string cuz i just replaced it and so its gotto be the guitar. the string is a nickelback bright, super light guage. guitar is a bc rish platnium warlock
no the string isnt loose. if that wsa it all my other strings woould do it too.
make sure the string is seated properly in the bridge and at the nut.
Don’t change strings one at a time. If you changed only one string, the new one won’t have the same tension as the old one and it’ll buzz like this one. Now… if you do change the others, you may run into this problem on more than one string. This means you need to have the truss rod adjusted.
Take the guitar to a competent luthier or music store for this. It takes about 5 minutes and shouldn’t cost much, if anything. Don’t do it yourself until you’re shown how. Once you have been shown tor proper way to do this, make only very minor adjustments to the truss rod on your own. Otherwise you’ll pay about a hundred bucks to have it reset, if you don’t screw up the guitar permanently.
A truss rod adjustment is something you do only once in a very great while… like once when you first buy the guitar or when you change from light to heavy gauge strings …
