Am i ready for an electric guitar?
I’ve been playing guitar for just over a year. And I feel that I’m getting better, so i was thinking about saving to get an electric next year.
My dad , as usual is skeptical, saying “George, you can’t get an electric guitar until you can really play”
It’s like he wants me to be shredding on a box guitar before I make the switch. But I mean com’on, some people even START on an electric guitar. What do you think?

Actually, electric is even easier to play than acoustic. I started learning on an electric and its so easy. Ive tried an acoustic and found it quite hard so just ignore your dad and go buy yourself a nice Fender or an Ibanez.
