Dreadnought Acoustic

Classical, or Dreadnought Acoustic?
I’ve never bought an acoustic guitar before, but I’ve read quite a bit and heard some things. All I pretty much know is that Classical’s have nylon strings, and Dreadnought’s have steel. I’m looking for a guitar that can play softer, sweeter stuff so I figured a classical, but I’ve heard that dreadnought’s are more versatile and I’d be better off getting one of those for my first. So which do you think I should get, and what brand or even specific guitar? I’d appreciate any tips or advice.
It depends on what kind(s) of music you want to play. If you want to play classical guitar, or flamenco or some kinds of Latin American music, then you’ll need a classical guitar. But if you want to play other things, then you’ll want to go with a steel-string.
