For all guitarists….How do you play?

Do you rest your pinky on the body of you guitar?

If you don’t, did you ever? How did you “ween” yourself off of it.

If you do, do you want to stop doing that? Because it will ruin/hurt your wrist in the future.

Also, do you hunch over when you play or do you play “correctly”
Either with your back straight using a foot stool with the guitar on your right knee (if you’re right handed, vice versa)
Or do you play classical style with it on your opposite knee, using a foot stool, and having your back straight.

Which way seems to work best for you? How does it make your back and wrists feel with the way you play?

Its all a matter of personal preference but if youre uncomfortable during performance then you should correct it. As far as anchoring your pinky on the body of the guitar goes….i myself do that and i know alot of players who do…its not for everyone but i dont know anyone sustaining injuries from it. Everyone has their own playing quirks…”correct” is a subjective term.
