Is a classical or acoustic guitar better?
My friend has a classical but the fret board is really wide for her..and she was told to get an acoustic or an elctro modern guitar but we were wonderig if the fret boards really are different?
The fretboards are definitely different. Classical guitars (which are also acoustic guitars) have a wide, flat fretboard. Steel string acoustic guitars have a narrower fretboard that’s curved (actually, it’s called “radiused”).
Don’t buy a classical guitar unless you’re interested in playing classical music. For most musical styles a steel string acoustic is the best bet.
