chordie guitar chords

What does the “/” (slash) mean on for guitar/uke chords?
I’m a new UKE player and I’m just looking up some chords for songs. I’m not sure how to read this though.: http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www.ultimate-guitar.com/print.php?what=tab&id=153275&1944-06-06=always&transpose=&tuning=GCEA
How it says like “Bb/F” or “C/E” etc.
What do I play? Or what does it mean?
I’m sure it means the same thing for guitars too so guitar players; please answer!
The letter after the slash indicates the bass note, or lowest note,
so if you play a C/G that means play a c chord with a G as the lowest note.
it really helps to know your retboard and also chord inversions.
