beatles guitar arrangements

Poll: the beatles vs the jonas brothers?
-both are/were foreigners who got a lot of attention from the ladies for some reason
-both were average at best
-neither really wrote poetic or amazing lyrics
-neither really had any real vocal talent
-both have crappy background music (simple arrangements, no decent guitar solos, nothing exciting)
-both were more popular for being popular rather than for actual talent
anyone agree?
Are you joking?
“both were average at best” Listen to “Abbey Road”. Notice any meaningful songs there? “White Album”? There’s a reason it nearly hit Double Diamond. And Rolling Stone wouldn’t rate “Sgt. Pepper” the Greatest Album of all Time if it was “average”, now, would they?
“neither wrote poetic or amazing lyrics” Ever heard of In My Life? Or maybe Across The Universe? Strawberry Fields Forever?
“neither had any real vocal talent” The Beatles were RAW. Listen to some of their early work. No voice sweeteners were needed… or wanted for that matter.
“boring background music” Paul McCartney is one of the greatest if not THE greatest bassists of all time. Look at the songs Helter Skelter and I Want You (She’s So Heavy) if you want some amazing guitar.
“both were more popular for being popular” Have I not already proven the Beatles were amazingly talented?
The same cannot be said for the Jonas Brothers.

Beatles Acoustic Guitar Solos $15.24 I have loved the Beatles since I started playing guitar in the late ’60s. Over the years I have put together solo arrangements of many of their tunes, those presented here and many others. For this recording however, I have gone back and reworked these 15 tunes so that they are as complete as I can make them. With some, I have tossed out my previous arrangments and started over from scratch. They … |
