What is better a fender telecaster or a epiphone les paul?

I have been looking for a new guitar latley and have come down to my final two after months of testing and reading reviews but these two are so close together I had to ask the internet. Keep in mind I did play both the fender tele does have the ablilty to play metal if you put the switch in the middle it makes the single coils act as humbuckers together. I figured my style might help you give me an answer I play stuff like ACDC nickelback and a little bit of metal those are my main styles but I need a guitar that can have a sweet acoustic tone at the same time. Please help me.

well my tele. isn’t the best acoustic sound
but for metal LOVE the tone (even without the switch in the middle, probably cuz my guitar is damaged and it goes to like 1/2 the volume)
but i don’t know much about a les paul, but i do like my tele a lot

tele might not cost as much (don’t know cuz mine was on sale cuz it was dropped in the store)
