I want to paint my acoustic guitar, but i don’t want to alter the sound, what kinda paint should i use?
I am doing a project for an art museum were you interpret a painting in an artistic way. I thought it would be fun to paint my guitar for it, but i don’t know what kind of paint wouldn’t ruin the sound… I need it done by Thanksgiving, please help!
You will ruin your guitar. Acoustic guitars produce sound with the top vibrates. Anything you do that will serve to dampen those vibrations – like painting it – will ruin the sound. Don’t do it.
